Mark Kentwell 

Managing Director & Licensed Agent

PRDnationwide Newcastle & Lake Macquarie Incorporating Project Marketing Division Newcastle New Projects 

A founding partner and now sole director of PRDnationwide Newcastle, Mark has been able to build and maintain relationships with a variety of local, national and international purchasers. Mark has already implemented some of the most innovative and effective strategies available into the marketplace.

Mark has been the driving force behind Newcastle New projects since its inception. He has been responsible for sourcing and consolidating a large number of development sites across the region and consulting on a vast array of projects. His advice on product mix, pricing and marketing is sought after Australia wide and his mentors include some of the best project marketers in the industry.

His portfolio of off the plan developments includes multi-unit apartment projects in Newcastle, Cooks Hill, Wickham, Warners Bay and Adamstown. He has sold numerous large and small townhouse and terrace projects in the city and suburbs. More recently the team, headed by Mark, has been appointed to market and sell a new business park and storage concept.

As the PRDnationwide network's Number One Selling Principal (Nationally) each year since 2008, Mark brings a modern approach to the sale of large developments and projects in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter Region. Mark has implemented some of the most innovative and effective strategies available into the marketplace.

Mark has some of Australia's greatest project marketing minds as his mentors, including Mr Gordon Douglas, founding director of PRD Project Marketing, who is widely recognised as one of Australia's most influential project marketing individuals in the past 30 years. Gordon has provided ongoing support to Mark throughout his journey to Number One Selling Principal. Mark is one of the few agents in Newcastle and the Hunter Region that has had this level of specific training in this sector. 

Mark is a leading ambassador for the city of Newcastle. He regularly speaks at a variety of business and property forums. In the past 12 months he has spoken at the AREC conference on the Gold Coast and the UDIA Conference in Sydney. He has appeared as guest presenter in two well-known international lifestyle programs regarding the sale of real estate in Newcastle. Mark is also a sought as a key note speaker on a wide variety of topics such as innovative agency systems and cutting edge property marketing. He regularly contributes expert commentary on NBN Television and in The Newcastle Herald.

Kyle Hartigan

Project and Sales Manager, Newcastle New Projects  

Kyle Hartigan is the Project Manager for Newcastle New Projects. He co-ordinates the sales team, liaises with vendors and developers and ensures the marketing program is creating leads. His job is to ensure regular reporting and provide regular buyer feedback on behalf of the team.

This lead role is designed to keep the sales focus and momentum on all projects until all are sold out and to release the selling agents so they can focus on following up leads, holding buyer meetings and achieving sales.

 Kyle has a strong commercial and corporate background with a career spanning many of the biggest names in Newcastle industry. His disciplined approach and attention to detail are matched only by his deep local contacts.

 While heading the sales team in this division, Kyle is also known for his businesslike and professional approach to negotiations and assisting buyers in overcoming any obstacles.

John Church 

Head of Marketing and Business Development, Newcastle New Projects 

John joined PRD Newcastle New Projects in October 2015. He is responsible for the oversight of marketing, advertising and public relations along with carrying out business development activities within the company. He specialises in creating integrated and customised marketing plans for developer clients and their projects. He is a fully licenced real estate agent and auctioneer.

John has been instrumental in the implementation of advertising and marketing of Newcastle New Projects portfolio of developments. He specialises in creating a separation between PRDnationwide projects and their competitors through naming, branding and quality targeted creative. He then uses a multi-channel approach to reach those target markets. The tool box includes public relations, launch events, database mining, social media, advanced video and digital strategies as well as the more traditional above and below the line advertising opportunities. 

The proven, sequential roll out of marketing plans has seen strong lead generation, sales conversion and excellent sales rates on the projects undertaken. 

John liaises regularly with the sales team and uses this buyer feedback to monitor and adjust marketing plans for maximum efficiency and results throughout the campaign.

Paul & Paula Ashcroft

Sales Consultants, Newcastle New Projects

Paul commenced working in real estate in Sydney in 1982.  During the 1990's he moved to Tamworth and took on a series of diverse roles in sales management. In each role he grew the success of the team leading by example.

Paul was directly involved in the day to day management of various real estate offices, leading a sales team of 7 people, building a property management portfolio, heading a project management division and acting as auctioneer.

During his time in Tamworth Paul developed expertise in selling land subdivisions and house and land packages. Building relationships with developers, display builders and contractors was paramount to his success.

In 2009 Paul, together with his wife Paula, created Ashcroft Property. Within just 4 years and during tough times in the industry, Ashcroft Property grew to become the 2nd largest land bank agency in the Northwest Region of NSW.

In 2016 the time came to sell the business and move to Newcastle to be closer to family and start an exciting new phase in his career.

Paula has worked in the real estate industry since 2002. Her experience is wide and diverse including residential sales, land developments, property management and business ownership.

Her early career was in accounting and administration and Paula prides herself on attention to detail in everything she undertakes.

Paula says working closely with clients and listening with empathy helps her to meet people's needs when assisting them to buy and sell.

James Callinan

Sales Consultant, Newcastle New Projects

James  has more than 11 years experience as a senior property consultant. He holds a Certificate of Registration and a Cert IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking. Before joining PRDnationwide, James specialised in residential, rural and prestige properties and he brings that extensive knowledge to this role.

James enjoys working with investors and developers in determining pricing and yields, refining the product mix and advising on inclusions and finishes. Since joining PRDnationwide, he has been the lead agent on many significant off the plan projects, many of which have sold out in record time. His professional yet approachable style is matched by a tenacious discipline in following up leads. This combination has seen him produce excellent results and develop a strong and loyal following of buyers and investors.

The impressive system developed by Newcastle New Projects, powered by PRDnationwide Newcastle and Lake Macquarie supports the agents and allow them the freedom to concentrate on providing property advice, developing deep product knowledge and negotiating off the plan sales.

James is married with 2 young boys and is an active member of the Newcastle and Hunter Rugby Union community.

Steve Cornes 

Sales Consultant

has been in the property industry for more than 10 years and is a valued team member with Newcastle New Projects powered by PRDnationwide Newcastle and Lake Macquarie.

He is a licensed Real Estate Agent and has a vast knowledge of the property and financial services industry including financial planning mortgage brokering and wealth creation through property investment.

Steve's expertise is off the plan sales. His early background was in selling house and land packages. In 2016 he also worked on a number of important apartment and townhouse projects including Broadcast House, Abode Terraces and The Greens, Merewether. He is currently marketing a $2million plus luxury home being sold off the plan and a Newcastle Harbour front apartment.

Stephen prides himself on utilising proven strategies and techniques that create leads and produce sales for developer clients. Stephens aims to give buyers a broader understanding of any project, through having a different conversation than other agents. It starts with identifying needs and budgets and systematically matching the buyer to the product on offer. He can also assist buyers source funding alternatives and negotiate terms to secure sales.

Nadine Hipps, MA, MA.Prop.

Events management, buyer-to-settlement manager, contact database management

Nadine is a passionate marketeer and her drive, vision and enthusiasm for project success is unstoppable. She has been involved in the property industry for more than 14 years in a variety of sales and marketing roles. Previous to her current role, she held the position of Regional Manager for the Urban Development Institute of NSW (UDIA NSW). This role gave her a broad, high level understanding of all players within the property industry, both at a state-wide and local level. This role expanded her already extensive professional network of contacts as she coordinated the institute's database of industry stakeholders, association members and government representatives.

Previous to this role, Nadine worked for a leading residential building company in a variety of roles, including marketing and support to the Director of Sales and Project Marketing. In this role, Nadine polished her residential marketing skillset, with sales experience, marketing display & events co-ordination, as well as assisting with new product development, and the production of new marketing materials.

She recently completed a Masters of Property, with her thesis focused on contemporary trends in Australian Urban Planning and Aesthetics. This Master's degree expanded her thorough knowledge of the property market, from a social planning context to a financial investment framework.

Nadine previously worked in the IT industry, assisting with user-interface-design for corporate websites, intra-nets & extra-nets.

Nadine is an experienced digital communicator, managing the team's extensive database of local, national and international contacts. In her role as database manager, she utilises her knowledge of the latest in e-brochure technology and her strong visual marketing skills to successfully bring new opportunities to the market, driving strong enquiry and ensuring successful product launch.

Joshua Smith

Sales Consultant

Originally from Adelaide, Joshua moved to Newcastle 12 years ago and fell in love with the city's vibrant cafe culture while living on Darby Street. His passion for property was sparked after purchasing and renovating his first home. Joshua is an experienced sales person having spent the last 2.5 years working in the motor industry, selling prestige motorcycle brands such as Ducati and Harley Davidson. He holds a certificate of registration and is working with and learning from the company's leading agents in a vital support role, including with the Newcastle New Projects Division which specialises in off the plan sales.
